What is Pannel-Heat?
Pannel-Heat is an electric heating panel installed along the base of the walls — exactly where the regular skirting board goes. From the outside it looks like a 12 cm decorative skirting board. Inside, heating elements warm the entire perimeter of the room.
The system was developed in Israel by a company based in Herzliya, is approved by the Standards Institution of Israel, and connects to the standard household supply (230V).
How does it heat the room?
It works by natural convection — the same principle that makes underfloor heating feel so comfortable:
- Cool air in the room sinks to the floor.
- Near the floor it meets the warm panel, heats up and rises.
- This creates a gentle, silent air circulation that warms the whole space evenly — no fan, no draft.
Because heat comes from the entire perimeter rather than one point, there are no hot spots next to a heater and no cold corners on the other side of the room. Part of the heat is absorbed by the walls themselves, and the warm walls keep the room comfortable.
Why is it better than other methods?
| Pannel-Heat | Air conditioner | Underfloor | Radiator / fan heater | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Renovation to install | No — only the skirting is replaced | No | Yes — floor lifted | No |
| Heat distribution | Even, from the whole perimeter | Airflow, uneven | Even | Concentrated near the unit |
| Dry air / dust | No | Yes | No | Fan heater — yes |
| Time to feel warm | Minutes | Minutes | Hours | Minutes |
| Takes up space | No | Wall unit | No | Yes |
| Room-by-room control | Yes, a thermostat per zone | Yes | Depends | Yes |

Specifications
- Height: 12 cm — the height of a standard skirting board.
- Power supply: 230V / 50Hz, standard household mains.
- Standard: approved by the Standards Institution of Israel (SI 900-2). Certificate and radiation test.
- Control: a thermostat per room or zone — wired, wireless, or wireless with a timer.
- Unheated wall sections (behind cabinets, in the kitchen): a matching polymer extension panel keeps the line continuous.
- Protection: overheating protection and a "do not cover" marking, as with any certified heater.
Who is it for?
- Existing homes with flooring you do not want to rip up — the obvious case. You replace skirting boards, not floors.
- Homes under construction or renovation — plan the electrical points in advance, no special floor layers needed.
- Apartments — it takes no space and needs no outdoor unit.
- Clinics, offices and institutions — quiet, even heat with no noise and no airflow. See, for example, the dental clinic in Jerusalem.
- Homes in colder areas — power is calculated by the town's elevation and climate zone, from the coast to the Jerusalem hills and the Golan.
One room or the whole house
The system is fully modular. You can start with one room — a child's bedroom, a home office — and expand later. Each room is controlled separately, so you only heat what you use.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the power your home needs: the area of each room, the ceiling height and the local climate. In the price calculator you choose your town, enter the rooms and get a full estimate — heating elements and installation, before and including VAT.
